Beautiful, passionate, well-played and produced acoustic folk by an up-and-coming talent and someone to watch.

A Pauper And A Poet

Milk And Honey

Fire And Fortune

Rising through the ranks of the London folk scene, Josienne Clarke is now one of the leading lights in the current folk revival movement. Having released her debut album, “One Light Is Gone,” late 2010, reviewers are already praising her vocal and songwriting talents with comparisons to June Tabor and Sandy Denny.

Raised in a family of untrained but enthusiastic singers Josienne’s childhood was peppered with song. Aged 16 she began classical singing lessons the influence of this training can clearly be heard in her vocal delivery. Whilst at university in London she began to perform regularly on the london circuit all the while honing her song writing talent. The result is sincere and succinct songwriting, distilled through traditional folk, executed with skill and dexterity.
