Boy & Bear – Aussies Rising
Modern folk hymns for the colder, more desolate seasons. Autumn and Winter come to mind as I enjoy these Sydney, AU favorites. They most closely resemble Fleet Foxes but have a vaguely epic movie feel, like a reimagined Western starring hipsters —sans the cowboy hats—with slouchy beanies, Elvis Costello fedoras, and an excess of long dark, slightly tangled and possibly unwashed tresses. Although these gents are remarkably well-groomed and likely well scrubbed.
