Jeremy Messersmith – The Reluctant Graveyard

Just a quick note from the editor:  This is simply gorgeous material. There are some happy pop tunes and flat-out rockers intermixed with my favorites: quieter acoustic tinged folk masterpieces.  This is what folk music was meant to be all along.  If you glance up, there are these string accompaniments hanging from Mr. Messersmith’s aural ceiling  like surging oceans teeming with phosphorescent life. Nice.  Finally, throughout this release  the underlying pop sensibilities only increase the overall value. Pop-Folk-Rock-Acoustic are not mutually exclusive terms.

The Reluctant Graveyard by Jeremy Messersmith is Now Available  The day is finally here, we’re extremely excited to share the third album of Jeremy’s trilogy, dubbed The Relcutant Graveyard. As you can likely tell from the album art below it centers around death and graveyards. Its available (like the other albums) for download on Bandcamp. You can pay whatever price you feel is appropriate, $0, $100, you name it! We have physical copies (CD, Vinyl, and Cassette) available on Jeremy’s website (CD right now and Vinyl, Cassette will be posted in a day or so), as well as at some shops around town like The Electric Fetus and Cheapo. We’ll have all 3 available at the release show and awesome posters created by comic book artist Ming Doyle.
Lastly, Jeremy will be touring the West Coast and we need help getting the word out! Tour dates are listed below and if you’re interested in helping to spread the words to some friends in those cities, we’ll be giving away some merch and guest list spots to help. Just email and we’ll fill you in on the details.
